I have a huge sweet tooth and always give into my cravings, but not before eating a bunch of other "healthy" stuff trying to avoid eating the bad thing in the first place. Does anyone know of any low-cal desserts that are still satisfying? I'm thinking CHOCOLATE!

Chocolate's not bad if you have it in small quantities. You can also have a fruit butter on a small pita or cottage cheese with some applesauce and cinnamon. Neither of those go with chocolate :)

It's challenging to make healthy choices when it comes to a sweet tooth.  I try to satisfy it with fresh fruit or berries over yogurt and sprinkled with crunchy almond slivers.  At least I don't feel guilty afterward.

Do you like cake? I've discovered recipes that you use low-cal (or regular) cake mix (yes, it comes in chocolate!) stirred up with 12 ounces (1 can) of diet soda. That's it. Nothing else. No eggs or oil. Couldn't be easier. Turns out great!
With chocolate cake,  a can of diet cola (Cherry Coke!) or Dr. Pepper.
Yellow cake with 7-Up, other citrus, Orange Crush is great! I've been wanting to try Fresca, if it comes in diet.
White cake and Big Red or peach, spice cake and ginger ale. Add some nuts or fruit, raisins, etc.
For icing, use sugar free Cool Whip, maybe mixed with sugar free or fat free pudding.
I think the Weight Watchers web site has some more suggestions.
Happy baking.

I love cake, but I've never heard of using soda with cake mix. But there are beer bread recipes out there, so I guess that makes sense. What an interesting idea. I'm going to try the chocolate/cherry coke combo. Thanks TxVee!

This is a fascinating suggestion.  But I don't drink diet anything because of the artificial sweetners.  Would it work with regular soda?  I looooove orange cake...  : D

It's not chocolate but I like dried cranberries for a sweet treat ... but buy organic so there are no added sugars!

I try to eat fruit when the sweettooth craving hits me. Apple slices with a little bit of peanut butter usually does it for me. :)

I love the idea of baking with diet soda. I can't wait to try it.
